We’re looking back at our last episode about Bosom Buddies and looking ahead to our next episode: 1965’s My Mother the Car!

In 1965, the creators of Get Smart and The Munsters created a new show for NBC called My Mother the Car, starring Jerry Van Dyke. In the show, Jerry plays David, whose mother is reincarnated int he form of a 1928 Porter touring car. Wacky hijinx ensue as he’s pursused by the evil Captain Bernard Manzini.

We’re looking back at Airwolf and what lingers from it and our next episode Bosom Buddies!

In 1980, ABC commissioned a new show starring up-and-coming actor Tom Hanks and Peter Scolari, about a couple of young ad execs who, after losing their apartment, are forced to dress as women to move into a women’s hotel. Despite a great theme song from Billy Joel, the show only lasted two years.

25 – Airwolf – “Shadow of the Hawke” (1984)

We’re starting 2019 with one of the most iconic shows of all time: Airwolf! Guest starring Thomas the Tank.

In 1984, CBS decided to capitalize on the movie Blue Thunder with a super helicopter show, created by Donald Bellisario, who also created Magnum PI. Starring Jan Michael Vincent, Ernest Borgnine and Alex Cord, the show only ran for 4 seasons before being canceled due to low ratings.

We’re eating leftovers from 1986’s The Thanksgiving Promise and we’re talking about our next episode, featuring the 1990 Hitler sitcom Heil Honey, I’m Home!

In 1990, the British network Galaxy (later part of BSkyB) produced a sitcom from Geoff Atkinson called Heil Honey I’m Home! that centered on Nazi dictator Adolph Hitler, his wife Eva Braun, and their wacky Jewish neighbors; confusingly they all have New York accents. Eight episodes were produced, but only one aired.

The story focuses on a mopey teen who’s given the job of raising a goose for Thanksgiving slaughter.
